Future Amarillo Restaurant Just Applied for Liquor License

I try to pay attention to my surroundings when I am driving around Amarillo. I mean my deliveries take me to all sorts of places around this town. I try to notice what I can. You never know when it can be used for a story or two about our city.

I either am not around this part of Amarillo enough or I need to do a better job keeping my eyes open. I was sent a message about a new place moving in next to Palio's on Soncy. I was asked if I knew anything about Sushi Yama.

I really hadn't heard anything about this new place. Oh, but there is a sign and they have applied for their liquor license. So this is indeed going to be a new place right next to Palio's.

The liquor license was applied for on April 12th, so not that long ago. This looks to be something that isn't going to take too much longer before it opens. I couldn't find anything about it online.

My guess is it's a new sushi and possibly hibachi place moving to town. I am loving the sudden surge of new places like this in the area. It used to be hard to find anything other than burgers, chicken fried steaks, and burgers here in Amarillo. Oh, and of course we have plenty of Mexican food restaurants.

The growing number of sushi places makes me ever so happy. I can't find anything about them on social media but we know that it is coming. We have the sign and liquor license application to prove that.
