Lionsgate will follow in the footsteps of the successful ‘Harry Potter‘ and ‘Twilight‘ franchises by splitting ‘Mockingjay’ — the final story in the ‘Hunger Games‘ trilogy — into two parts.

Continuing its quest for world domination, ‘The Hunger Games’ earned another $21.5 million this weekend and marked its fourth straight week atop the box office charts.

As one of the stars of the runaway hit ‘The Hunger Games,’ Josh Hutcherson was on top of the world. Why even his hometown Cincinnati Reds asked the 19-year-old to throw out the first pitch before their game Saturday against the Miami Marlins. Unfortunately for Hutcherson that experience took him down a peg, as his ceremonial toss could be generously descibed as “horrible.”

Another week with a single movie opening in wide release, but everyone’s so excited about this one that it may have needed the entire weekend to itself.
