I have seen many a post about toys from the 90's that aren't made anymore. Toys that I remember having or seeing and also toys that I never heard of before. I thought to myself , "Are there toys from my childhood that are still made?" I looked into it and as it turns out there are. So here is a post about the toys that are still made. This is a list of 10 toys that were big in the 90's and early 2000's.

I remember as a kid desperately wanting to have one of these. When I finally got one I played with it for about a month and then I forgot about it. Now as an adult I kind of want one to see if I can take care of it unlike how I didn't as a kid. Tamagotchi was released in 1996 by Bandai in Japan. Since 2010 they have sold 76 million world wide. Not only can you still buy the newer and older versions of this toy, but you can download an app on your phone.

I also had one of these toys as a child and I distinctly remember never being able to actually bake anything worth eating. It never worked for me. I'm not sure if it was user error or the toy itself. Regardless of that it seems this toy will not be going away. It was introduced in 1963 by Hasbro and by 1997 over 16 million had been sold in around 11 different models. I'm sure the newer models work better than those of previous years. Let's hope so.

Gak..... yeah. This was a collaboration of Nickelodeon and Matel from the 90's. It stopped being sold and has since been resold. I played with this when my friends had it, but I never really got to have this myself, it was to messy for my moms taste. She didn't want us to get it all over the house, plus she hated the slimy feeling it had.

This is probably one of the most expensive dolls that I have ever seen in my life. I did not have the opportunity to own one of these dolls, however, my five nieces are proud owners of such dolls and quite adore them. I just don't see paying over $100 for a doll not to mention the accessories to go with the doll.

This disturbing doll was released in the 90's by Tiger Electronics. I remember having one of these dolls and it going off in the middle of the night and scaring me nearly to death. Needless to say that doll got the boot. I sure hope they are less creepy now than they were back in the 90's.

I never had the pleasure of owning this toy and I never saw any of my friends having them either. I guess they were still popular though because they are sill being made today. Nickelodeon released these in the 90's. They were meant to give off the feeling of walking in anti-gravity. Basically they are like having small trampolines attached to your feel. I think if I would have had them I would have fallen and broken something. Smart move on my parents part for not getting them for me.

These stuffed animals were created by Ty Warner later called Ty Inc. They started being made in 1990. Production on them was stopped in 1999, but due to consumer demand they began production again in 2000. I actually remember this happening when I was little, but I didn’t really pay too much attention. I was too busy playing with my beanie babies to really care.

I remember my brother and male cousins have a ton of these toys. I could never figure out how to make them work so I never really got into this particular toy. I actually just recently wondered if these were still made. So I looked it up online and low and behold they still are. They came into stores in the late 90’s, around 1999 by X Concepts.

I remember several of my friends having one of these in elementary school. I never had one. I think it had to do with the fact that I always had a sprained ankle. When I did try to play with this I was not coordinated enough to get it to work, hence all the sprained ankles. The skip it was made by Tiger Electronics back in the 80's.

Bop It is a toy that I don't think that I ever had the chance to really try and play with. I really need to get one and try and play it with some of my friends. It was made by Hasbro in 1996 and all you have to do it follow a set of instructions that keep getting faster and faster. Now there are a variety of different Bop It games you can play. When I was younger it was just the one.

All of these toys I remember being in my childhood in one fashion or another. I may not have been able to have all of them but I do still have memories about them. They were great fun back in the 90's and they have obviously been fun enough to be continuously made to this day.
