Ah St. Patrick’s Day In The Land Of Green, Shamrock Texas Lassie

Since 1946 Shamrock Texas is the place to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland. Maewyn Succat, yep that guy, his friends back in the day called him Mae, we know him better as St. Patrick.  Shamrock has so much going on for Mae’s day, or rather St. Patrick’s Day, the celebration needs three days-March 13^th-15^th.

The three-day festival in Shamrock has been designated as the official St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for the entire state of Texas by the Texas State Legislature. Here’s some of the Festivals line up of events:

Friday March 13^th at 4pm Festival opens behind Bartlett’s.

Saturday March 14^th at 10:30am The 74^th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade kicks off at Happy State Bank.

Saturday at noon the Carnival opens behind Bartlett’s.

Sunday March 15^th the Lad and Lassie pageant at The Shamrock High Auditorium kicks off at 1pm.

Sunday at 4pm The Texas Hold Em Tournament and Fish Fry at the Shamrock Country Club begins.
