Chick-fil-A knows how to keep things running smoothly. I notice that on a daily. The location on Georgia Street is a well-oiled machine. It really is. When they discovered they needed more parking spaces they went to work.

They bought the property next door and expanded their parking. They turned that into an easy in and easy out. Being a DoorDasher I am there all of the time. The only time I get frustrated is when a customer is in a hurry to get their Holy Chicken and doesn't want to slow down to let me cross. I keep thinking don't worry you will get your chicken. That process will slow down if you hit me, I promise. So look out for pedestrians.

The parking lot has a nice flow on one-way driving that really makes the whole process so much smoother. Of course, if you place an order in the drive-thru that also is a very fast process. It may look like the line is impossibly long but give it a chance. They have that down to a science and somehow can get you in and out pretty fast.

So when I woke up Friday morning to this announcement from Chick-fil-A on Georgia at first I was a little worried.

I knew I would be there a lot over the weekend and into the next week all while this project was going on. Then I remembered it was Chick-fil-A on Georgia so it wasn't going to be that bad.

The parking lot is a mess but it won't be for long. According to Joshua Raef:

What we're doing is expanding the parking lot right now but not a lot will change (just a wider parking lot) BUT it's to prep for a project next spring where the drive thru will be completely re-done and the interior remodeled. It will be crazy different (in a good way!).

Even though it's a mess right now I knew when the project was done things were going to be even better. It's just the Chick-fil-A way. So while this transformation is going on just be aware that you can still enjoy your favorite chicken and fries. You just won't be able to order curbside.

Take advantage of the mobile app and order ahead. Just when an already seamless trip can turn into an even faster experience. Of course, that is the Chick-fil-A way.
