Amarillo’s Discovery Center Reopening With New Hours

Good news as more and more of Texas reopens. Amarillo's Don Harrington Discovery Center has reopened with new, temporary hours. You can now get the kids out of the house and enjoy all the center's activities Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

Our friend Captain Kyle got on Facebook to announce the new hours and let us know what you can see and do at the Discovery Center right now.

Along with the exhibits, the space theater, KinderStudio, science demos, and critter encounters will still take place each day.

As with most businesses that are open, the Discovery Center has safety in mind for their guests and employees. Masks will be worn by staff and temperature checks will be conducted on all upon arrival. They will also be disinfecting exhibits throughout the day so you many notice closed for cleaning signs.

To get your tickets, you can pre-purchase online at the Don Harrington Discovery Center website. Members do not need advanced admission, you can just check in as normal at the front desk. Discounts are also available for qualifiying students, military, and seniors. Discounted admissions can be paid at the front door upon arrival.
