Fire crews returned to Bailey's Shed Bar again on Friday for another fire. This is the second time in less than 24 hours that crews have been fighting flames at the bar on Bell Street. The first fire broke out on late Thursday night just after 9:00pm. Crews from Amarillo Fire Department discovered flames in the attic space of the bar and had to pull down part of the ceiling to get to the fire.

It took crews over an hour to get the fire under control at 10:30pm. Early reports say that an HVC unit may have been the cause. The system had recently been serviced and smoke was reported coming from the unit. On Friday afternoon, just after 2:00pm, fire crews were once again called to the scene. The AFD is calling this a re-ignition and is investigating the second call. When crews arrived they could see fire showing from the roof. They were able to have it out in less than an hour.

At this time, there is no estimate on how much damage was done or what the cost of repairs will be. They are still searching for an official preliminary cause of the fire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in either fire.
