There are a lot of questions still out there regarding the Covid-19 vaccine. When will the city have more at the walk-in clinic? Is the walk-in clinic open? Are there porta-potties in line at the walk-in clinic (I saw that one on Reddit)?

Another question being asked by those who regularly donate blood is, "Can I still donate after getting the vaccine?"

Coffee Memorial sent out a press release yesterday saying that yes, you can. Those who have received the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines are eligible to donate. You can donate blood and platelets.

In fact, Coffee Memorial Blood Center stated in their press release that the need for blood and platelets has risen.

The only restriction is on convalescent plasma donors. If you are a convalescent plasma donor and you have received the vaccine, you are not able to donate convalescent plasma. However, you can still donate blood and platelets.

Also, Kids Inc. donor days officially kicked off yesterday. From now until March 31, every donor at Coffee Memorial Blood Center or at any mobile blood drive gets a t-shirt and a free game of bowling from Western Bowl.

Also, when you donate you can make that donation in honor of an area school. The school with the most donors at the end of Donor Days will receive contributions.

There's also a scholarship opportunity for 2021 seniors.
