It's called "Discover For A Dollar." On Nov. 8, you and the family can get into the Discovery Center for only a buck. The event is from 6 PM - 9 PM.

According to the event's Facebook page, there will be a lot of activities available. They will have Space Theater shows, science demonstrations, and creature encounters.

If you've never taken the kids to an event at the Discovery Center, you're missing out. I've loaded up family and taken them to a few events, and the kids always have a good time.

Along with the activities planned specifically for that night, you and the family will also have access to all of the exhibits at the Discovery Center. That includes their fall exhibit, "All Charged Up."

Honestly, you can't beat the price. It's a cheap outing for the family that the kids will definitely enjoy. At a dollar a person, it's just about the cheapest ticket in town.

The Discovery Center is also going to be hosting Code Your Future: Game Design and Programming classes. If my kids were old enough, I'd have them signed up in a heartbeat.

The most interesting part, to me, is that they will be learning to do a little bit of coding in Python. If you have kids that are tech inclined at all, that experience could wind up being invaluable.
