A ritual of summer and Amarillo in itself is watching 60 Longhorns meandering through the streets of Amarillo. This sight happens this Thursday at 6 PM starting at 11th and Polk featuring the Longhorns and other riders and non-motorized vehicles.

Amarillo was a premier cattle shipping market in the late 1800s and the city was bustling with all sorts of activities, and the cattle drive will include period enacted shootouts along the route.

The route is returning to its original procession heading north on Polk turning right on 3rd then right again on Taylor past the Old Potter County Courthouse, eventually ending at the Tri-State Fairgrounds.

The Longhorns will remain on display at the fairgrounds during the Coors Cowboy club Ranch June 7th and 8th in the Amarillo National Center
