Old Toys R Us Location In Amarillo Getting New Life

Yes, they get an occasional Halloween Store to open up during the season but let's face it that building needs a new tenant. In fact that whole corner of businesses in that area really do. We need someone to move into the On the Border and the Pier 1. Let's get business booming again.

Well first things first. I saw on Coldwell Bankers Facebook page yesterday that yes, the Toys R Us is at least getting one permanent fixture in that big building. It's just good news to see someone finally moving in.

This is what the post I saw stated:

Boot Barn will be opening it's first Amarillo Location. This 21,415 sf retail store will be one of two new tenants in the former Toys R Us Location.

"Find the latest styles in cowboy boots & hats, western wear, work boots and much more".

This store will give the Texas Panhandle a new place to shop for boots, jeans, cowboy hats and anything Western Wear related. So this is some good news for the area. I decided to check out the website to see just what Boot Barn had to offer. I, for one, have never heard of Boot Barn. Looking at their website and seeing they have over 260 stores already, they must be doing something right.

Maybe this is another sign that 2021 is indeed going to be a good year. Let's keep bringing in new businesses.
