Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s partnership started on TV. Years before Shaun of the DeadHot FuzzPaul, and The World’s End, Pegg and Frost became a classic comedy team on the British series Spaced. After several years without a collaboration, Pegg and Frost are finally reteaming — and finally returning to TV as well.

Their new series is called Truth Seekers, and it was just announced that the show will premiered on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service. Here’s a synopsis, via Variety:

Frost plays Gus, one half of a ghost-hunting, duo who team up to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the U.K. in the series. They stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel. Their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, terrifying, and even deadly as the pair begin to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the entire human race.

Pegg co-stars in the film as a guy named Dave, but Variety didn’t have any additional details about the character.

Truth Seekers will be an eight-part series, with 30 minute episodes co-written by Frost and Pegg with Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz. And if the idea of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost doing a TV version of Ghostbusters doesn’t sound like a good time to you, literally why are you even reading this website?
