Fans of Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy return in 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' might still count themselves surprised a sequel finally got of the ground, but could the same brand of humor land on TV? NBC wants to put a man on the moon with a new 'Anchorman'-style comedy about the 1962 space race, direct from Ferrell and director Adam McKay themselves!

Following a less-than-stellar outing with 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' star Josh Hutcherson and a holiday break, 'SNL' will return this weekend with its first of three major December installments. This time out, the sketch comedy show will return 'Anchorman' star Paul Rudd to the stage for his third hosting duty and his first alongside UK sensation One Direction.

Though ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues‘ isn't due in theaters until the end of the year, in anticipation of the sequel to one of the most quotable films ever made, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream have created a flavor in tribute to Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy. As 'Anchorman 2' has begun shooting, casting is now filling in quite nicely, and on top of the core five of Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate, and new additions Kristen Wiig and James Marsden, now Meagan Good and Dylan Baker have officially joined the cast.
