Autism is one of those things we hear a lot about. It's one of those conditions that affect a lot of kids. Studies show that one in four kids are autistic according to autism speaks. So with so many diagnoses and no known cures, Brayden's Gift is stepping in to help with awareness.

The laws have loosened up a bit in Texas, but it's still pretty restrictive.

World Autism Day is coming up on Monday, April 2nd.

As April continues so does Autism Awareness Month.  Each week I have been trying to share with you amazing stories of kids with Autism.  This week's story is no exception.   I would like to introduce you to the Hepler Family and their son Ethan.

I will never in my life understand the cruelty of people.  However, even more so I will never understand how a child can become so sadistic.  Two teen girls, 17-year old Lauren Bush and an unnamed 15-year old girl,  have been charged with the abuse of a 16-year old autistic boy.  The charges will disturb you.

You know I do not get riled up about many things but this video really ticked me off to the point I had tears running down my checks.  A 5th grade Michigan teacher by the name of Nicole McVey decided it was appropriate to record a video of one of her  students who as Asperger's Syndrome after he got stuck in a chair.  Not only that, the principal of the school decided to join in teasing the boy. 

It’s always exciting to see a young prodigy rock out on a musical instrument (especially since we can barely carry a tune ourselves). But six-year-old pianist Ethan Walmark is all the more impressive since he has Autism Spectrum Disorder and has been playing songs by ear since the tender age of four.

A while back we showed you a blind 15 year old who listened to a dubsteb song for the the first time then managed to play it on the piano. Now, we have an autistic 6 year old boy named Ethan who nails Billy Joel’s “Piano Man”.
