Once again, someone with a camera is coming to Amarillo to take on a food challenge.

We really need to lighten up a bit. We need to enjoy the funny things we see here in Amarillo. If you just drive around town you will see many things that you can only see in Amarillo.

Here we are all making out decisions on how we are going to handle Thanksgiving this year. Are we going to have a small dinner at our home with immediate family? Are we going to invite people over and have a gathering?

I mean every city has "their thing". I know Amarillo is not alone. I moved here back in 1986 and the things I have discovered about this area. Oh my goodness. I still think Amarillo is a great place to live. We just have some weird stuff. Oh and these weird things seem to be absolutely normal to everyone here.

How many 72oz steaks will 5 grand buy? How many WOW passes? How many Sod Poodles tickets? We did the math.

We need a local grocery store to step up to the plate and give us totes to be proud of. Some that are uniquely Amarillo. Here are five ideas to get you started.
