st. patricks day

This year, I guess I'll just have to drink a pint at home in honor of what could have been.

Have you ever wondered where St. Patrick's Day  got its start?  It wasn't a day created for leprechauns, green beer,  parades or four leaf clovers.  It is/was and actual day to honor an actual man.  Here's a bit of history for you.

Several traditional Irish foods are frequently served on St. Patrick's Day: corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie and Pepto Bismol. Please add to that list the Beer Cream Puff.

Apparently St. Patrick's Day isn't just about drinking, fighting and public urination (but don't get us wrong, it is about that, too).
