So a week ago yesterday I received this text from one of my friends:

It looks like a Water main broke over by the radio station it’s like Lake 34th over here man it’s crazy it’s going all the way to think back to Coulter but it goes all the way past you guys.

I forgot about that until I drove into work the next morning. Yep, it looked like I could have possibly gone swimming down 34th, if I wanted to. Pulling into the radio station parking lot I was a little concerned about my car making it through all the water. It was a water main that busted. It's a week later and they are in the middle of repairing it. Parts of 34th closer to Coulter is down to one lane.

So that is making travel a little more frustrating. It's supposed to be fixed and ready to go in time for the weekend. So it is just a minor headache. It's tying up the traffic southbound more than anything. As they have cones and barrels closing up part of the street.

When it is all said and done it's sad to say that we won't be able to swim down 34th Street anymore. I mean that is sad news since none of the swimming pools in Amarillo will be able to open up this summer. I mean if a street is our only option I guess I would have been down for that.

I mean we only live once, right? The water main has only caused issues for about a week. That's pretty good City of Amarillo. Thank you for all that you do.
