I have never spent money on a pay-per-view event, but the Crossroads Guitar Festival is different. Pretty much everyone I'm a big fan of will be in Dallas for the festival a week from today, and tickets are sold out. The pay-per-view is available through nugs.tv, and benefits the Crossroads Center in Antigua.

Here are some of my top picks, excluding the obvious like Billy Gibbons and Eric Clapton.

    Buddy Guy

He's one of my favorites. "Damn Right, I've Got the Blues" is one of my all time favorite tracks, and his "Cheaper To Keep Her" always puts a smile on my face. He's a legend, and if pay-per-view is what it takes to see him "live," then so be it.

    Sonny Landreth

Sonny Landreth is another one of my all time favorites. I'm a sucker for slide guitar, and Sonny is one of the greatest. This has to be one of my favorite videos on YouTube. It's Sonny and Eric playing my favorite Sonny jam, "Hell At Home" at the Crossroads Fest in '07.

    Johnny Lang

Johnny Lang's "Lie To Me" has been one of my favorite songs for a long time. His performance is one I honestly can't wait to see. Sure, he looks like a lost Hanson brother, but the man kicks ass.

    Keb' Mo'

Keb' Mo' is another person that I have been dying to see perform live. He's incredible, whether full band or just by himself. Plus, he's a living Blues legend.

    Joe Walsh

Joe Walsh. If you've listened to me talk about Joe Walsh at all, then this is no surprise. He's pretty much the only reason I like the Eagles.
