When I am driving around Amarillo I really notice some things that make me question what is really going on. Was that something on purpose or a complete accident?

There is a billboard on I-27 that is upside down. People wondered if it was supposed to be that way. It was. It is a great marketing ploy. It got people talking. I noticed another one over the weekend.

I drive around a lot in the Wolflin area. It is my hangout. My hood I guess. I saw on Friday that a new billboard was going up near Market Street. It is an Allstate billboard. I noticed it was pretty cool because part of it had letters that are 3D. They really stand out.

I drove by the next day and I was wondering if they finished their work. I mean there was a letter missing. Then it got me wondering if they were coming back to finish their work.

Did they notice that they left off a letter? I see this billboard in other parts of town and it has the missing "u". Those letters are not in 3D. So was this a mistake? Did they run out of time? Did the "u" get added but it just fell off? I didn't notice it on the ground anywhere nearby.

What is going on? Did it get dark earlier than they anticipated and they were going to come back to finish? It was just the weekend so they are going back this week? Then the weather hit?

Or is this just a way to get our attention? Was this their way to get us talking? That missing "u"?

This billboard for Allstate's Matt Moles may be a marketing ploy to get us talking. That may have really worked for you. Or maybe it is just unfinished. What is the answer here?
