A man in Seattle walked into a local Sears Department store and handed the cashier an envelope. What was in the envelope was a bit of a shocker to people there.

The man reportedly was paying back money that he stole from Sears in the 1940's. In a note is stated that he stole 20 - 30 dollars and was paying it back with interest. Inside the envelope addressed to the manager was a crisp $100 bill.

Manager Gary Lorentson says he thinks the man's conscience "has been bothering him for the past 60 years."

No-one knows who the man is. Store video cameras recorded the man as he came in, but Sears is not releasing the video tape. The store is planning to use the money to help needy families during the holidays.
